Free Range Chicken & Poultry

All of our free range chicken comes from Stuart Perkins at Castlemead Poultry, Heywood Farm, Radstock, near Bath. Originally started by his grandparents in 1940, Stuart is proud to be the third family generation farming at Heywood. Castlemead’s higher welfare free range chickens are slow-grown and are never given antibiotics, and live twice the length of their supermarket counterparts. From early morning till nightfall, our free range chickens are free to explore the fields surrounding their houses, incorporating natural goodness into their diets to complement the locally grown and milled cereals they are fed.
