Pork Spare Ribs Recipe
Either serve pork spare ribs as part of a Chinese feast or enjoy as a finger licking meal served with your favourite noodle dish.
1kg of Pork Ribs
4 tbs of Dark Soy Sauce
2 tbs of Light Soy Sauce
2 tbs of Shaoxing Rice Wine
4 tbs of Runny Honey
2 tsp of Treacle or Molasses
3 Star Anais
1 Cinnamon Stick
1 Thumb Size of Ginger (grated)
3 Garlic Cloves (crushed)
1-2tsp of Dried Crushed Chillis
Place the ribs in a flat dish or plastic bag
Mix all the Marinade ingredients together and pour over the ribs. Marinade for at least an hour and if you can overnight.
When ready to cook, pre-heat the oven to 180c and place ribs in an flat oven dish, pour over the marinade, reserving 3 tbs.
Cook for 30 minutes then pour the reserved marinade over the ribs and turn in the sticky sauce. Cook for another 20 minutes.
Serve up and enjoy the stickiness
